Since July of 2019, Temple Beth Abraham has been solar-powered with 247 rooftop panels. Each year the system will generate roughly 83,881 kilowatt-hours of electricity, offsetting the equivalent of over 145,000 miles driven in a gas-powered car.
The Temple was financed through a Power Purchase Agreement, allowing them to go solar at no upfront cost, with the opportunity to own the system outright after a period of time.
