River Valley Charter School went solar in October of 2018, with 359 panels on the roof of their school. Every year, the system will generate roughly 133,449 kilowatt-hours of electricity, offsetting the equivalent of over 230,700 miles driven in a gas-powered car.
River Valley Charter School follows the Montessori philosophy, and a curriculum based around core values inspiring students to foster peace and positive change. They are a public K-8 school, serving Amesbury, Newbury, Newburyport, Salisbury, and West Newbury, MA.
