Green Clean Maine cleans homes and now the atmosphere with a 21 kilowatt solar array on their Portland, ME office location. Seventy solar panels on the roof of the facilities generate roughly 21,530 kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, which is enough energy to offset the equivalent of driving over 37,225 miles in gas-powered car.
Incidentally, Green Clean is cutting emissions as well with a fleet of highly efficient vehicles to travel to the homes they clean. They seek other ways to reduce waste in cleaning supplies, and use earth friendly, plant-based and non-toxic cleaning products so their customers can feel good about the safety of their homes as well as their impact on the environment.
