Via Bangor Daily News , the town of Bucksport, ME worked with ReVision Energy to install a 79.8 kW solar array and LED lighting to offset their carbon footprint, and generate approximately $400,000 in savings over the life of the system. The town is designing another larger system with ReVision that will be installed next year. Richard Rotella, the town's economic development director, said,
"It's clean. It's green. It's using a natural resource, and the savings over time will benefit the taxpayers of the town," Rotella said. "It makes strong environmental and fiscal sense."
