As part of our commitment to the local community, ReVision Energy is excited to announce our "Maine Donation" Solar Grant. In short, one nonprofit in Maine will be awarded the installation of a 5.3 kilowatt solar array , which will produce roughly 6,000 kilowatt-hours/year for the next 40 years (approximate retail value of $18,500).
In general, we're looking for a nonprofit whose usage will be dramatically reduced by a solar array of the size we're offering to donate, who has a very visible location (either physically and/or through their strong influence in the community), a viable location (a good site for solar and the ability to approve a solar installation), and the ability to show excitement from their community for this gift.
Applications are being accepted March 5 - April 30, with intended installation in June, 2016. Please spread the word!
UPDATE: Closed! 43 Nonprofits applied for this first-ever program, we're impressed with the enthusiasm and quality of the applicants. We expect to have our award decided by the end of May.
