ReVision Energy Honored for Support of Military Service Members

Brentwood, N.H. (October 20, 2016) — On behalf of ReVision Energy, Branch Manager Heather Fournier has been honored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a Patriotic Employer. The award is given to employers who support employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve forces.
ReVision Energy Renewable Energy Advisor Kayla Wernig nominated Fournier for the honor. Wernig serves as a Communications Sergeant with the Connecticut Army National Guard. Several military veterans are also employed by ReVision Energy.
“I am honored to accept the nomination on behalf of ReVision Energy,” says Fournier. “Kayla is inspiring to work with, and I am looking forward to our continued partnership with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program.”
Service members are well-suited for employment in the solar industry as they recognize the threat posed by reliance on fossil fuels, the need to safeguard national security interests and are often passionate about protecting the environment. ReVision Energy is hiring and encourages service members to apply online for available positions.
“The support I receive from ReVision has been instrumental in minimizing the stress of juggling two careers,” says Wernig. “While I have been away on duty, I have received updates from the office, but never any added stress. I am reminded that I am missed at the office, and I always look forward to returning to such a supportive environment.”
Adds Wernig, “I recently have been approached by our leadership team to help create a program that recognizes our veteran customers, and I am excited to roll that out soon. I could not dream of a better, more supportive company.”
ReVision Energy has also pledged its support for the Guard and Reserve. Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a Department of Defense program. It was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment.
Employers signing a statement of support pledge to comply with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, provide company leaders with the tools they need to effectively manage employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve, encourage opportunities to hire Guardsmen, Reservists, and Veterans and support service members and their families in peace, in crisis and in war.
