ReVision Energy has partnered with The Trustees of Reservations to create a referral program to send children from low-income, foster, and adoptive homes to Appleton Farm Summer Camp in Ipswich, MA.
For each customer referral who goes solar, ReVision will offer their customers the option to have the company pay tuition for a child’s weeklong experience at Appleton Farm Summer Camp. The Camp, held at one of the oldest continuously operating farms in the country, introduces children to farm-life through fun, engaging, and educational activities, like soil science, cheese making, and farm to table cooking.
“Summer camp has a powerful positive effect on the lives of children,” said Bridget Sprague, ReVision Energy’s Director of Marketing. Research shows that summer camps provide lasting benefits to campers, including the ability to push their limits, develop lasting friendships, and connect with the environment. ReVision Energy has committed a minimum of 12 scholarships this summer season.
The Trustees organization is dedicated to preserving natural and historical places in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The oldest regional land trust in the world, it cares for nearly 27,000 acres of preserved land across Massachusetts.
