Come learn from Martin Orio of Water Energy Distributors, Inc as he will provide an overview of geothermal installation methods and goals his family’s business employ in their effort to guide interested parties toward responsible geothermal installations in the heating dominated New England marketplace.
Martin is the self-appointed ‘English Translator’ of geothermal HVAC technology. Martin spends a significant amount of his time on the road informing both residential and commercial interests in New England on the costs, options and proper application of ground-source heat pump technology.
Martin’s family – led by his father, Carl D. Orio C.G.D. has one of the longest involvement’s with geothermal heat pumps in the United States today. They are full members of ASHRAE, employ three full time Certified GeoExchange Designers (-AEE), thirteen IGSHPA accredited professionals and a Certified Geothermal Instructor (IGSPHA). They have been long standing members of the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association’s (IGSPHA) Advisory Board, and in the past 33 years they have been involved in over 14,000 geothermal heat pump installations as designers and distributors.
Green Eggs is the Chapter’s monthly breakfast forum featuring a speaker and topic relevant to green buildings. Networking and breakfast, featuring a full breakfast – local and creative – prepared by Tidewater Catering, will take place from 7:30 – 8:00 followed by a 45 minute presentation and a 15 minute question, answer & discussion period. Attendance is limited and pre-registration with payment is recommended. Attendance is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
