Last month Berwick Academy installed a 144-panel photovoltaic array solar panel system onto the roof of the Athletic Center through local renewable energy professionals ReVision Energy. Funds for the installation were the result of a generous gift from local company Black Dog Car Wash.
Head of School Greg Schneider commented, "We are thrilled to be partnering with ReVision Energy to take our first substantial effort to bring solar energy to Berwick Academy. ReVision's great local reputation in the Seacoast as well as with other peer schools made this an easy choice for us." The solar panel installation is the latest step toward strengthening the green initiatives on campus at Berwick Academy. The school has been committed to reducing its carbon footprint for several years through both student and school-initiated programs.
