    Sutton House

Sutton House Bed & Breakfast in Center Harbor, NH is now running on solar power, even for heating and cooling. The historic 1865 home turned inn went solar in April of 2019, complete with the installation of a 13-unit air source heat pump mini-split system that will heat and cool their guest rooms throughout the year, on power generated by a 90-panel solar array on their rooftop.

Each year, their solar array will produce roughly 31,896 kilowatt-hours of electricity, offsetting the equivalent of over 55,100 miles driven in a gas-powered car. Guests can relax and enjoy NH's White Mountains and Lakes Region, knowing that their lodgings are helping preserve it for the future.

By the numbers:

System size: 26.56 kilowatts (90 solar panels) System output: 31,896 kilowatt-hours/yr CO? reduction: 33,586 pounds/yr
