441 solar panels provide clean local electricity to the Ellsworth Tennis Center of Ellsworth, ME. They installed their 134.51 kilowatt grid-tied solar electric system in May of 2018, and each year it will generate roughly 140,679 kilowatt-hours of electricity. That is enough electricity to offset the equivalent of driving over 256,600 miles in a gas-powered vehicle.
The Tennis Center offers instruction, and encourages local families to get up and moving with the other amenities they offer. In addition to tennis courts, the Ellsworth Tennis Center also houses a play center, fitness center, and several small businesses, all of which benefit from the sustainable power being generated on the roof.
