After a career in woodworking, product design, and production design, Derek’s sleeplessness over the climate crisis led to the goal of finding a job that would be contributing towards a solution, no matter how small. He earned a Masters in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the Harvard Extension School and quickly began working in the solar industry. Before joining ReVision, he was lucky to have worked on solar projects large and small for homeowners in Massachusetts as well as large institutional clients like Harvard University.
When not designing solar projects for homeowners, architects, and builders, Derek enjoys his urban backyard oasis with his wife and son where they grow pears, apples, and many tasty vegetables. You can find him out in the music venues of Somerville, Cambridge, and Boston seeing his favorite live bands as well as at home listening to his record collection.
