Fortunat's Energy System

Fortunat's home sports a 8kw grid-tied solar electric system, consisting of 16 SunPower SPR225 modules and a SPR3000x inverter installed in 2007, and 14 Q-Cell 320w modules with a Solaredge 3800 inverter. A single Tesla Powerwall provides reliable backup power to the well pump, boiler and other critical loads.

He heats primarily with a combination of Mitsubishi air source heat pumps and a Hampton wood stove, which are backed up by a fully automatic Kedel RTB pellet boiler. Domestic hot water is provided by an Apricus AP60 solar hot water system.
