As CEO of ReVision Energy, Fortunat leads the executive team in developing and executing the company’s strategic plan, advancing the company’s mission to Make Life Better, by building our just and equitable electric future.
Fortunat received both his Masters and BS in Mechanical engineering from Brown University with a concentration in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics and is a licensed Professional Engineer in ME and NH. Fortunat also serves on The State of Maine’s Climate Council Energy Working Group and is a Captain on the North Yarmouth Volunteer Fire Department.
Before founding ReVision Energy, Fortunat was a project manager and senior systems engineer at United Technologies Fuel Cells in Hartford, CT.
Fortunat's home sports a 8kw grid-tied solar electric system, consisting of 16 SunPower SPR225 modules and a SPR3000x inverter installed in 2007, and 14 Q-Cell 320w modules with a Solaredge 3800 inverter. A single Tesla Powerwall provides reliable backup power to the well pump, boiler and other critical loads.
He heats primarily with a combination of Mitsubishi air source heat pumps and a Hampton wood stove, which are backed up by a fully automatic Kedel RTB pellet boiler. Domestic hot water is provided by an Apricus AP60 solar hot water system.
