Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment – Freeport, ME solar energy project installed by local employee-owned contractor ReVision Energy

The Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment installed 98 kilowatts of solar energy on the roof of their historic Pote House Barn and newly constructed Dairy Barn.

The 310 solar panels will generate roughly 120,000 kilowatt-hours (kWhs) of electricity each year, offsetting the equivalent of over 207,400 miles driven in a gas-powered car.

Wolfe’s Neck Center was established at Wolfe’s Neck Farm in Freeport, Maine in 2017. Their 600 acre farm is now dedicated to combating climate change and local food scarcity through regenerative farming, community education, and a healthy local food system. Their 2019 solar installations are Phase I of their goal to power 100% of their electric load with solar energy.
