Born in Japan and raised in Rhode Island, Nathan spent much of his youth outside either mountain biking, rock climbing, backpacking or skiing. After graduating high school, he volunteered his time building the first pediatrics hospital just outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Upon returning, he traveled around the country living out of his 1985 hatchback Escort (it was gray with a red hood for speed), looking for a place where he felt at home.
Nathan found Burlington, Vermont and fell in love with the Green Mountains. Shortly after moving to VT, he started his electrical apprenticeship. 20 years passed, and Nathan is now a Master Electrician, and has now worked in many different electrical fields, including seven years as the Dover High School Electrical Technology teacher. He was having a blast as a teacher, and decided to get a job in the solar field during the summer of 2015, thinking it would be a great way to get a hands-on understanding of the solar world he could then share with students.
ReVision was more than happy to have Nathan on board that summer, and he enjoyed it so much that he accepted a full-time position the year after, and hasn’t looked back. Nathan loves it at ReVision, from all the great co-workers and the challenge of the job, to the difference he can make in his community and our environment. Nathan is a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional, and a licensed electrician in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. When not wiring green energy systems, he enjoys going to concerts, backpacking, mountain biking, and working out with his family. He lives in Dover, NH with his wife and three children.
