Cameron Berube

Solar Design Specialist

Cam (he/him) grew up in the White Mountains where he developed a passion for skiing, hiking and the natural environment. This led to an initial career in outdoor recreation which took him from hut crew at the AMC, search and rescue on Mt. Washington, and wild land firefighting in Eastern Oregon, to mountaineering excursions in the Pacific Northwest and Nepal.

Eventually finding himself in Asia working as a camp counselor and surf instructor in Hong Kong, Cam went on to bum his way through Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos eventually landing in Kunming, China where he taught English for a couple of years.

Having witnessed the vast and devastating effects of climate change and economic inequality, Cam eventually returned home on a mission to roll up his sleeves and put in the work. To the great relief of his mother, he then finally completed his nearly 10-year BS in Expeditionary Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh and went on to receive a MA in Sustainable Development as SIT Graduate Institute. This launched him into another career as an organizer where he worked on a variety of campaigns including climate change, campaign finance reform and labor organizing.

Cam got into clean energy back in 2017 when he took a job as a BPI certified home energy auditor, helping people identify inefficiencies in their homes and pointing them toward energy efficient solutions like heat pumps, insulation and solar. He was excited to join ReVision where he designs clean energy solutions for his customers and works with other folks who share his commitment to creating a clean environment and a just society.

Today, Cam lives in Norwich, Vermont with his wife and two kids and their crazy dog. When the whole crew isn’t camping, paddling, or skiing, Cam is gradually converting his 1980s ranch into a net-zero all electric home.
