180 solar panels on the roof of the town salt shed in Sebago, ME produce electricity that benefits the town electric bill and the surrounding community.
Their 57.6 kilowatt grid-tied solar electric system will generate roughly 69,670 kilowatt hours of electricity per year. That is enough to cover 96% of the town’s annual municipal load, and offsets the equivalent of over 127,000 miles driven in a gas powered car.
In addition to their solar array, Sebago is helping residents and visitors cut carbon emissions even further with an EV charger installed at the town offices.
