Join us for a solar ribbon cutting with the Town of Hanover to celebrate the installation of two municipal solar projects. Rooftop arrays at Town Hall and the water reclamation facility collectively generate nearly 100-megawatt hours of solar power annually.
Construction of a third solar array is planned later this year at the Hanover Water Department reservoir. The proposed 700-kilowatt project would be a ground-mounted system with roughly 2,000 solar panels.
In 2017, Hanover became the first “Ready for 100” town in New Hampshire, a Sierra Club initiative that encourages leaders across the country to commit to 100% renewable energy by the year 2050.
