Solar For ME: PUC Hearing at USM in Portland

University of Southern Maine - Abromson Center
Do you support solar in Maine? Are you angry that CMP wants to charge solar producers MORE because solar power cuts into their profits? Come and get your voice heard at the PUC Hearing held on April 3rd at USM Portland’s Abromson Center.
Solar supporters gather at 6pm (an hour before the hearings start). Wear yellow! We will be there with hand-outs on talking points.
Why should you be ‘irate’ ?
- CMP works for shareholders, not ratepayers- they are a subsidiary of Spanish energy giant Iberdrola
- Solar customers are already paying fixed fees to CMP each month – don’t increase it just to get more profits
- Solar power reduces, rather than increases the cost of wholesale electricity during peak demand periods on the grid. Solar customers should receive MORE money than they do already, not less.
