Saving Money with Solar For Water Districts – Webinar
Share this event
Join Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District’s Tim LeVasseur and Nick Sampson of ReVision Energy for a live video conversation about no-upfront-cost solar for water districts and municipalities.
Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District (KSTD) serves the towns of Waterville, Winslow, Fairfield, and Benton, serving up to 35,000 Maine customers. This past year, KSTD worked with ReVision Energy to install a 2,808-panel solar array that will generate enough power to cover 84% of the facility’s energy costs, while saving them $2 million over its lifetime.
Tim is the superintendent of Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District and has over 40 years of experience in the wastewater treatment industry. He will talk about how KSTD is taking advantage of cost-saving clean energy through a solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) without paying anything upfront, and how solar PPA’s can help water districts and towns lock in long term power security at below-utility rates.
