The City of Portland and ReVision Energy are hosting a ribbon cutting at the Portland Landfill on Tuesday, December 18th to celebrate the city’s recent solar installation. The array, comprised of 2,816 solar panels spread over 4 acres, will produce 1.2 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year – enough to power City Hall and Merrill Auditorium.

ReVision Energy co-founder Fortunat Mueller will discuss project highlights. Portland City Manager Jon Jennings and Troy Moon, Portland Sustainability Coordinator, will discuss what this project means for the City. The ribbon cutting will be followed by a tour of the array.

This event is free and open to the public. **This is a working (muddy) construction site – boots are highly recommended.**
