Join ReVision Energy in supporting Odyssey 2012, the nation’s largest alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicle event. Maine Clean Communities and Southern Maine Community College’s (SMCC) Transportation Technology Department are teaming up again to offer “Odyssey Day” in South Portland on Friday October 19, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 20th from 10:00-3:00 p.m. at SMCC.
Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Odyssey Day will build awareness and enthusiasm for alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles, showcasing a wide range of technologies and fuels, including hydrogen, electric, propane, natural gas, biodiesel, hybrids, idle reduction and ethanol.
National AFV Day Odyssey is being coordinated by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC). The NAFTC strives to improve air quality and decrease our nation’s dependence on foreign oil by promoting, supporting, and expanding the use of alternative fuel vehicles. Ours will be one of 125 sites holding Odyssey Day events across the country. Our event will be held the day after the national odyssey event and two days prior to the AltWheels event.
This event will have a trade show format, with opportunities for one-on-one conversations with vehicle and technology vendors, owners and operators. Short presentations will be given on a variety of topics throughout the day at a center stage or classroom.
ReVision Energy will be there with our Chevy Volt electric vehicle and solar charging displays. Come out and see some alternative wheels!
