Considering an electric vehicle to save on gas and reduce pollution?
The great news is that electric vehicle (EV) technology has improved dramatically, now enabling drivers to travel up to 240 miles on one charge (Chevy Bolt, i.e.). At the same time, public EV charging stations are becoming much more widespread and home charging options have become affordable. Both residential and public charging stations can be powered by solar electricity, enabling true zero-emissions transportation and lower electricity costs.
Come learn how EV owners are cost-effectively charging their cars with the exciting developments in the industry, what the future holds for Maine and what’s trending worldwide. There will be information on the 30+ models of EVs on the market today, as well as the Volkswagen settlement money that will be used to incentivize the installation of public charging corridors in the northeast. ReVision Energy and Maine Clean Communities, a program of GPCOG, are partnering to present on March 3rd, starting at 9 am. Refreshments will be provided. There will be EVs on display to view after the presentation and discussion. The event is free and open to the public, contact [email protected] with any questions or to RSVP.
