Join USGBC’s Maine Chapter and Maine State Climatologist, Dr. George Jacobsen to learn more on climate, how’s it’s varied over the past 800,000 years and how human impact plays a role in climate today. Dr. Jacobson, Professor Emeritus of Biology, Ecology, and Climate Change at the University of Maine, has been involved in the Climate Change Institute since 1979, serving as its Director for nearly a decade. During his career he has been involved in numerous national and international initiatives to pursue research and promote collaboration among climate scientists.

Networking and light refreshments will begin our evening, followed shortly by an hour long presentation. There will be time for questions and comments at the end. The cost is $5 at the door. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.
