bia-logoOn December 8, the Business and Industry Association will be presenting a day long symposium devoted to energy policy and regulation in New Hampshire. The conference will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a networking reception to follow.

High and volatile electricity prices are affecting electricity markets in the region with New Hampshire electrical energy prices nearly 60% higher than the national average. Most experts agree that more energy infrastructure is need to reduce prices to business and residential customers, but how and when will this happen? This event will provide an overview of the state’s and region’s energy infrastructure challenges; highlight the potential economic impacts if new energy infrastructure projects are not developed soon; review the state’s energy mix and the role each plays in addressing high energy costs; and identify policies necessary for development of secure energy resources, while protecting the state’s natural resources. Also, our very own Jack Ruderman will be holding a session about net metering in New Hampshire.
