Original announcement, for posterity:

ReVision Energy was honored to win a competitive bidding process to become the preferred installer for Solarize Mass Plus Lowell , the latest Solarize program offered by the Mass CEC and Mass DOER. Solarize Lowell is our eighth Solarize program, and our first time executing on a group purchasing program in Massachusetts.

Solarize programs nationwide are designed to drive costs down for solar by hyper-focusing on a particular area (usually a single town or city) and offering group discounts to residents and businesses who go solar during the campaign period. For Solarize Lowell, the program runs from now to February, 2018.

Solarize "Plus" is unique in that it expands the scope beyond solar electricity to include complementary technologies such as heat pumps. ReVision has been loudly advocating the advantages of combining solar power and heat pump technology since ~2011, as we saw a major transition from solar heating via hydronic applications to modern cold climate heat pumps. Today, our company boasts over 1,000 heat pump installations, and a Mitsubishi Electric Elite Diamond Contractor status, the highest commendation awarded by the vendor.

Since its launch in 2011, 64 cities and towns have participated in Solarize Mass, which has led to the contracting of more than 3,300 new small-scale installations at homes and businesses resulting in 22.3 megawatts of contracted solar capacity. To date, systems installed under Solarize Mass have reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing 1,800 cars off the road annually.
