Solar farms are increasingly popular, as businesses, nonprofits, and community members want to have access to solar but may not be able to find a location for it at their home or business.
We spoke with Jason Philbrook, a landowner who hosts a solar farm on his land, and Jed Porta, Manager Partner at Migis Lodge, who receives the off-site solar generation, about how it’s a win-win for all involved.
By net metering their off-site array’s solar power generation, Migis Lodge will be able to offset the LED lights and electric heating of their 35 cottages, as well as the electrical needs of their kitchen and laundry services. Watch our interview with Jed Porta of Migis Lodge, and solar farm host Jason Philbrook to hear about how the process worked.
